Fertility Investigation Service
The Kings Oak Hospital and The Garden Hospital now offers a Fertility Investigation Service.
The service carries out comprehensive testing as well as providing ongoing support and information for couples who are trying for a baby. The service is designed for couples who have been trying for a baby for between six months and one year, as well as for those who want pre-conception advice and reassurance that all is well on the fertility front.
The clinics run in the evening to allow couples to attend, consultations are carried out in comfortable private surroundings and ample time is given for detailed discussions.

Latest Treatment for Prostate Cancer
The Kings Oak Hospital in Enfield is now able to offer the latest minimal invasive treatment of localised prostate cancer. The Kings Oak Hospital is one of only a few hospitals in the UK able to offer this new treatment. The treatment that will be available to patients is called HIFU "High Intensify Ultrasound". HIFU enables the surgeon to focus on the prostate area only therefore ensuring that surrounding tissues are not damaged. In addition HIFU also eliminates the need for radiotherapy as well as the surgical removal of the prostate. Many patients cannot tolerate the side effects associated with radiation. Bowel Screening Service
The Kings Oak Hospital now offers a bowel screening service for anyone who is worried or concerned. Serious bowel complaints may not present any symptoms at an early stage.
The hospital is an accredited BUPA Bowel Cancer Centre that is offering an affordable and simple bowel screening test kit for £59.00 that can be carried out at home. Tests kits can be purchased between 8.00am - 9.00pm Monday to Friday and 8.30am - 12.00 noon on Saturdays.

Head and Neck Lump Clinic
The Kings Oak Hospital has set up a new service which is a 'one stop' Head and Neck Lump Clinic. The service will offer patients an accurate and fast convenient service where patients will normally attend for just one visit. At this initial visit one can expect to have an in-depth consultation with a consultant Maxillofacial Surgeon who specialises in head and neck, along with various tests and investigations. Computer Assisted Joint Replacement Surgery
The Kings Oak Hospital can now offer the latest Computer Assisted Joint Replacement Surgery. Computer Assisted Surgery enables the surgeon to improve the accuracy and alignment while operating, it also enhances visualisation to allow minimally invasive techniques. Computer Assisted Surgery improves functionality of the joint for the patient in addition to longer implant life, faster recovery with minimal invasive techniques. This technique also reduces the length of time that the patient may stay in hospital.
