Cataracts

The majority of cataracts are caused by the ageing of the eye. Usually affecting people around 55 years of age and onwards, but they can occasionally develop earlier in life. Initial symptoms include vision becoming ‘misty', seeing halos around bright lights and worsening vision in bright sunlight. Better results, with fewer complications, can be achieved if surgery is performed earlier.
